You might wonder who we are, what we do and what we are trying to achieve. Unfortunately, we are not able to offer our entire website in English. However, we would like to have the most important texts available. Please look to our news at bottom of this page!
Who we are: We are gay and lesbian Christians, and most of us are members of the Newapostolic Church. We are open to bisexuals and transsexuals as well. Within our group you will find people who have already had their coming-Out and others, who are somewhere in the process of leaving the closet behind themselves. Some of us are administration brothers, some are married, some live alone, some with their friend. We are grateful that some heterosexuals support us as well. It is crucial for us, that our sexuality is seen as just one part of our individuality, therefore we prefer to refer to ourselves as "gays" rather than "homosexuals" – a term, that we find too narrow and one-dimensional. For gays, their friends, their families and their ministers we try to offer as much help as we can. Please note, however, that we cannot provide professional, therapeutic services. What we want: We want to be able to live our lives as respected members within the Newapostolic Church, regardless of our sexual orientation. We hope to help others understand, that love between men or love between women is as valuable to our heavenly father as love between a man and a woman. We have come together in a group that we refer to as Rainbow-NAC (Regenbogen-NAK), in order to
Where we can be found: So far we have members in Germany, the Netherlands and in Switzerland. You are welcome to ask for further information about Rainbow-NAC members in your vicinity. Just send an Email to info@regenbogen-nak.de Where can you obtain further information in English? We regret that we cannot provide a complete version of our website in English. Nevertheless, in case you need help or information, please mail to the address given above – we will forward it to one of our English speaking members and will try to help you as much as we can. Perhaps you could even contribute yourself – or perhaps know somebody who would be willing to translate a part of our website? Let us know. First aid for Newapostolic gays Being gay and Newapostolic might seem a major problem to you. Many if not most of us were in a similar situation once, and some of us still are. But be assured: you are not alone. There are many brothers and sisters who know what you feel because they feel the same. Who know, that you are afraid because they were afraid, too. Who may help you find a way towards love, fulfilment and happiness. Don't give up. Rely on the help of our heavenly father, and try to live with the fact that our church will need some time to overcome prejudices. Dear brother, dear sister, continue to be a faithful and happy child of god. Rely on the help and mercy of our Saviour. Walk with confidence on your path of life – don't let being gay be an obstacle on it. |
